How in the world can Mel Kiper Jr. place the North Carolina Tar Heels QB, Mitch Trubisky (freshman) ahead of Deshaun Watson in his bullshit "Mock Draft?"
In 3 years, Watson - a 2-time Heisman Trophy Winner finalist (should have definitely won this past season) and a 2-time Davey O'Brien Award Winner (awarded to the best QB for a particular season), 2015 and 2016 - has a won-loss record of 38 wins and 5 losses, 3 of the losses came in his Freshman season, but dominated the Oklahoma Sooners in the Citrus Bowl.
Watson's sophomore and junior seasons, he had a record of 28 wins 2 losses and topped of his career with a National Championship.. and Mel Kiper Jr. puts Trubisky ahead of Watson on his inconsequential draft board. Give me a freakin' break.
Below is Deshaun Watson's very impressive record for his 3 years at Clemson:

2014, 10-3, Defeated Okla Sooners 40-6 in Citrus Bowl
- 2015, 14-1, Loss in Championship Game, 45-40 to Alabama (he doesn't play on defense so one can surmise that Watson played fairly well (I watched the game as most sports fans did and Deshaun was clearly the best player on the field).
- 2016, 14-1, Defeated Alabama in Championship Game, 35-31
Nothing against Mitch because if you ask him, he might tell you that his abilities are no match for Deshaun (maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't, that's not the issue).
Trubisky's 2016 record with the Tar Heels, 8 wins and 5 losses, and he lost his last 3 out of 4 games to end the season: Duke, NC State and a loss in the Sun Bowl to Stanford. Kiper provides an excuse for the Stanford loss stating that the N.C. offensive line could not block Stanford's Solomon Thomas.
Mel Kiper Jr. needs to be fired. His obvious partisan toward Trubisky over Watson has less to do with talent and who the best QB going into the 2017 NFL Draft, and more to do with something else. I won't broach the race card, but I'm not sure what else it could be.
Like many NFL pundits, who really don't know their collective asses from holes in the ground, Kiper was way off on the Cowboys phenomenal rookie Dak Prescott. Here's what he stated:
"Dallas was interested in getting into range for Paxton Lynch, and also missed out on a chance to draft Connor Cook when the Raiders traded up. Dak Prescott is a solid guy to have on the bench, but I question the starting upside, and I had Brandon Allen ranked higher."
And that's just one of many of his poor predictions. What are they really paying this guy for? Geesh! SMH! OMG!

Love this time of the year, not because it's Christmas, but because it's Bowl Season and the NFL is getting down to the 'nitty-gritty', as teams jockey for a playoff position.
Not able to watch all the Bowl games of course, but my trusty Xfinity X1 DVR allows me to view most games, I just have to make sure that I don't know the score, makes the game much more interesting.
Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl between Grambling and NC Central. It's the SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) Black National Championship Game. The score was 10-3 Grambling at the half; 10-3 the majority of the 2nd half. With 2:19 to go, North Carolina Central QB Malcolm Bell, on 3rd down and 12, scrambles to his left and throws what amounts to a 40-yard 'Hail Mary' to wideout Quentin Atkinson (dropped a TD pass earlier in the game).. TD. Immediately after catching the TD pass, the young, excited Q. Atkinson takes his helmet off and dashes up the sideline, celebrating toward the fans. Poor soul gets a celebration, unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, 15-yards, which made the extra-point try, that much more difficult from 35-yards out. The PAT is blocked.
Of course the cameras are all on poor Quentin (a Senior so that's his last game) after the block and quite naturally his joy turned to embarrassment. They try an on-side kick, recover the kick, but are off-sides. 5-yard penalty and re-kick. Grambling recovers the re-try, game over. The game was played at the Georgia Dome and poor little Quentin may have to walk back to North Carolina. This will definitely makes ESPN's "Not Top 10" list, probably number one.
Final score 10-9 Grambling Tigers.
Next up, the Las Vegas Bowl between the Houston Cougars and San Diego State Aztecs. Sr. RB Donnel Pumphrey Jr., even though he's only 5'9", 180 lbs, is quick enough to play at the next level. During the game, Pumphrey broke Ron Dane's FBS Rushing Record with 6,402 career yards.
Houston QB Greg Ward Jr., who at 5'11", 185 lbs, has no shot at playing QB at the next level, but if he can catch, with his quickness, he could catch on at wide receiver. Ward threw 4 INTs (all in the 2nd half) including a Pick-6 and he was sacked 7 times. It's funny how Houston shut down the Heisman Trophy Winner, Lamar Jackson but had no answer for the Aztecs. The lopsided victory could have something to do with Houston coach Tom Herman moving on to coach the Texas Longhorns. Major Applewhite coached (if you want to call it coaching) the Cougars in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Final score: San Diego 34, Houston 10.
You can add Louisville QB Lamar Jackson's name to the Heisman hopeful list.
Get this, over 300 yards passing, over 100 yards rushing, 5 TDs with 3:23 to go in the 1ST HALF!
In just 2 college games in the 2016 season (and he only played the first half of the Cardinals 70-14 route of Charlotte), Jackson has passed or ran for 13 TDs. He had a 72-yard run and a 72-yard TD pass against Syracuse on Friday, 09/09/2016.
The big test for Louisville will be next Saturday as they host the Florida State Seminoles. One analyst says he reminds him of Mike Vick, the other, former Texas coach Mack Brown says he reminds him of Vince Young.

The took Lamar out of the game with about 8 minutes to go, he had over 200 yards rushing but lost a couple yards and ended up with 199 yards rushing, 411 yards passing. That's 610 yards for one player. Phenomenal!
